Professor of Old Age Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry

John O'Brien 教授是劍橋大學精神病學系的老年精神病學教授。他的研究範疇包括使用神經影像作為失智症的診斷和預後生物標誌，以及路易氏體失智症和血管性失智症的診斷和治療。他已發表了500多篇同儕評審的論文和7本書籍，並在這些領域取得了卓越的成就。
他是英國國內和國際指引共識小組的成員，包括英國國家健康與照顧卓越研究院（NICE）、歐洲中風協會和Vas-Cog。此外，他還擔任國家健康研究院的榮譽資深研究員、路易氏體協會科學諮詢小組成員、阿茲海默症協會研究策略委員會主席，以及NIHR（National Institute for Health Research）的失智症國家專業領導人。他也是英國醫學科學院的院士。
