Professor Geert Jan Biessels
Professor of Neurology, Dept of Neurology, UMCU Brain Center, UMC Utrecht
Geert Jan Biessels教授目前擔任荷蘭烏得勒支大學醫學中心的腦血管疾病和認知障礙教授。他已經發表了超過400篇科學論文，對於血管因素與認知障礙（包括失智症）之間的關係做出了重要貢獻。他積極與國際頂尖學者合作，並參與了STRIVE和HARNESS等研究網絡，豐富了腦血管疾病和認知障礙研究的領域。此外，他領導著荷蘭心腦聯繫協會，並發起了國際Meta VCI Map聯盟，旨在通過協作努力應對這些複雜的疾病。他是兩個大型隨機對照試驗的主要研究者，這些試驗旨在研究糖尿病對認知的影響。他因其卓越的學術貢獻獲得多項獎項和榮譽，包括荷蘭國家研究委員會的Vidi和Vici獎項，以及歐洲中風組織的高級研究者獎。
